TigerRisk hires Denbigh from Aon for London retro role

TigerRisk Partners LLC, the global risk, capital and reinsurance brokerage and advisory, has announced a new London retrocession market hire, in Oliver Denbigh who will join the company after leaving rival Aon.

ollie-denbigh-tigerriskDenbigh is the latest to leave the Aon retrocessional reinsurance broking team in London, after a number of senior executives moved on from that unit of the firm in the last few months.

Denbigh joins TigerRisk as a partner in the firms London Retro broking practice. He will report to Alex Bridges Global Head of Retro.

“Ollie is a fantastic addition to the team,” commented Bridges on the hire. “His wealth of experience having worked across the classes during his career representing reinsurers globally gives him an invaluable insight into structuring, pricing and placement strategies that will be extremely beneficial to our clients as they navigate this period in the cycle.”

TigerRisk President Rob Bredahl also commented, “We are thrilled to welcome Ollie at a critical time when our industry is being challenged by multiple factors. TigerRisk is well positioned to manage the complexities of the current operating environment and Ollie’s thought leadership and comprehensive structuring expertise adds further strength to our team and for our clients.”

Denbigh was most recently a Senior Broker with the Non Marine Specialty team at Aon, working on Property Retrocession, Catastrophe retro reinsurance and Risk on D&F across major global clients.

Before that, Denbigh worked for Willis Re, broking international business with experience across a number of classes, but specialising in multi-territory Property Catastrophe reinsurance.
