Guy Carpenter hires Quentin Perrot as Managing Director, GC Securities

Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has made a key capital markets and insurance-linked securities (ILS) focused hire, appointing former Willis Re Securities executive Quentin Perrot as a Managing Director in its GC Securities division.

Perrot led the European insurance-linked securities (ILS) team at Willis Re Securities, the capital markets, ILS and catastrophe bond focused unit of reinsurance broker Willis Re.

He departed the firm this summer and has now emerged at rival GC Securities.

In his new position at GC Securities, Perrot will be responsible for the origination and structuring of insurance-linked securities, collateralized structures, and alternative capital.

He will also support the firms clients from around the world including Bermuda, U.S. and Europe.

Perrot will remain based in London and will report to Shiv Kumar, President of GC Securities.

Perrot has extensive experience across the ILS product range and in connecting reinsurance risks with the capital markets, ranging from structuring catastrophe bonds, sidecars and collateralized arrangements, to investor relations and capital raising activities.

At Willis Re Securities Perrot was most recently Senior Vice President and Head of the European ILS team. He joined Willis Re in 2014, prior to which he was a Structurer of ILS products at BNP Paribas Bank.
