Elementum Advisors, an independent insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance-linked investment manager, has announced the promotion of two of its long-term employees to the level of Principal.
Demonstrating a commitment to providing career advancement opportunities to its staff and a willingness to reward the efforts of its employees, Elementum Advisors announced the promotion of Jake Weber and Nick Jagoda to Principals effective January 1st, 2014.
Both Weber and Jagoda have worked at Elementum Advisors since the firm was formed in 2009, having been an integral part of its success dating back to the Elementum teams time at Stark Investments.
During 2013 Weber and Jagoda have been responsible for helping to strengthen the depth of Elementum’s catastrophe risk modelling team and growing the firm’s presence in Bermuda. Additionally, both have taken on more public roles, representing Elementum in front of third-parties such as investors, intermediaries and counterparties.
Weber and Jagoda will continue in their current roles as Head of Catastrophe Modeling and Portfolio Manager.
Elementum Advisors said that demonstrating such commitment to members of its team is indicative of its efforts to build a high quality institutional asset management firm for the long-term.
Elementum has been making efforts to build-out its ILS management platform in recent months, including the registration of a Bermuda SPI, Elementum Re Ltd., for writing collateralized reinsurance contracts.
