Aspen Re, the global reinsurance division of Bermuda headquartered specialty re/insurer Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited, has announced two new hires in ex-Vibe Re CEO Richard Milner and Middle East & Africa specialist Antoine Bdadouni.
Richard Milner has been hired for a position within the Aspen Re International division effective February 19th 2020, taking on the newly created role of Senior Managing Director.
Milner has over 20 years of experience working across numerous global reinsurance markets and has expertise across multiple product lines. In addition his career has seem him take responsibility for management, leadership, capital planning and underwriting of reinsurance related businesses.
His most recent position saw him running VIBE Re as its Chief Executive Officer, which entailed bringing together the existing Syndicate Holding Corp reinsurance businesses under a single, unified brand.
Milner has also served in senior positions at Axis Capital within its reinsurance business, including as President and Chief Underwriting Officer, Axis Re London, as Head of Global Business Development, Axis Re, and as President and Chief Underwriting Officer, Axis Re Asia Pacific.
Aspen has also announced the hiring of Antoine Bdadouni to the role of Head of Middle East and Africa for Aspen Re, based in Zurich.
Bdadouni was most recently the Global Multi-Line Insurance and Reinsurance Business Development Manager at Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Company.
Previously he held senior roles at broker Marsh and McLennan in the Middle East and North Africa, serving on the Executive Committee for that region. Prior to which he was Head of reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter in Dubai.
