Aeolus Capital Management Ltd., the Bermuda based reinsurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS) focused investment fund manager, has announced a senior property treaty reinsurance hire in Lancashire’s Andy Richardson.
Andy Richardson will join Aeolus as a Portfolio Manager, subject to Bermuda Immigration approval and after fulfilling his remaining obligations with employer Lancashire Insurance Company Limited.
Currently, Richardson is Head of Property Treaty, Bermuda at specialty focused underwriting group Lancashire.
Before joining that firm, Richardson was a reinsurance broker at Guy Carpenter and worked in the United Kingdom, Japan, China and New York.

Aeolus has added a number of senior hires over the last year, including Aditya Dutt, the former leader of reinsurance firm RenaissanceRe’s ILS and third-party capital management businesses as Partner and President, Nicholas Jagoda from Elementum Advisors as a Partner and Portfolio Manager, and most recently Dr. Peter Dailey from RMS as Head of Research
