Weather refund promotions backed by weather insurance and derivatives appear to be all the rage at the moment. The latest one to come to light is a promotion from Knar Jewellery called ‘Let it Snow‘.
The promotion, being run for their 30th anniversary of business, offers a refund to anyone who bought a product in their stores between November 25th and December 24th 2008 if there is more than 6 inches of snow on the 15th January 2009 at the store where they bought the product.
The deal is said to be backed by Lloyd’s of London and the weather data is being measured by Weather Watch Service.
