The Weather Risk Management Association (WRMA), an international trade association dedicated to promoting weather risk management to the industry and end-users, has announced the election of new members to its board.
At the WRMA 2014 Annual Meeting, held in Miami Beach, Florida earlier this month, members of the association elected members of the WRMA Board and a roster of Association Officers.
The following weather risk management industry experts were elected to the WRMA Board of Directors for two-year terms; Richard Betts, Senior Structured Trader, Weather Derivatives at E.ON Global Commodities; Stuart Brown, Head of Origination, Weather & Energy EMEA Asia-Pacific at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions; Heidi Centola, Manager of Weather Products at CME Group; Josh Charnin-Aker, Weather Trader at DRW Commodities; Sandeep Ramachandran Co-Head of Weather & Commodity Markets at Axis Capital; and Mark Rueegg, CEO of Celsius Pro.
The following industry representatives remain on the Board for terms of one year; Neil Bird, Partner at Risk Solutions International; Jens Boening, Head of Weather Derivatives at EDF Trading; Claude Brown, Partner at Reed Smith; Brad Hoggatt, Chief Portfolio Manager at MSI GuaranteedWeather; Marty Malinow, President of Endurance Global Weather; and René Müeck, Head of Entrepreneurial Risk Solutions at Munich Re.
Board officers will be elected at the next WRMA Board of Directors Meeting, to be held in June.
