TigerRisk hires reinsurance broker Joe Jackson from Aon

TigerRisk Partners LLC, the global risk, capital and reinsurance brokerage and advisory, has added another senior reinsurance broking hire from rival Aon, with Joe Jackson joining the firm in its New York office.

TigerRisk and some of the other either smaller global brokers, or independently owned brokers, have been steadily adding reinsurance and retrocession hires from some of the larger firms in the market over recent months.

A number of these have been outgoing from Aon, with its retro team a particular area that senior people have been seen to depart.

TigerRisk benefited from these trends recently, when it announced new London retrocession market hire Oliver Denbigh, who joined the firm from Aon.

Now TigerRisk has announced the hire of Joe Jackson in New York.

Jackson had been with Aon since 2006, having joined the reinsurance unit of the firm when it was named Aon Benfield.

He specialised in broking personal and commercial property, liability, workers’ comp, non-standard and commercial auto business, before moving on to manage large accounts for the firm.

He later joined Aon’s MGA Practice Group, focusing on product and line of business expansion for new and existing clients.

He has joined TigerRisk with a focus on reinsurance treaty business and will join Kevin Abramson’s team, based at TigerRisk’s New York office.
