TigerRisk Capital Markets sets up in London, hires Beckham from Willis

TigerRisk Capital Markets & Advisory, the investment-banking and capital markets subsidiary of reinsurance broker and capital advisor TigerRisk Partners LLC, has established itself in London with the hire of Leo Beckham from Willis.

Leo Beckham has been appointed to become Managing Director of TigerRisk Capital Markets & Advisory, in London, as from November 2nd 2016. In the role, Beckham will be charged with helping to build TigerRisk’s capital markets and advisory business in the UK and Europe.

Beckham will report directly to Tony Ursano, President of TigerRisk and CEO of TigerRisk Capital Markets & Advisory and be based out of the reinsurance brokers London office.

Beckham joins TigerRisk from Willis Capital Markets & Advisory, the insurance-linked securities (ILS) and capital markets arm of Willis Towers Watson, where he worked on high-profile insurance industry transactions and with players in the Lloyd’s market.

Beckham’s career began as a chartered accountant covering insurance at Deloitte. He then transitioned into investment banking at Benfield Advisory and later at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods.

With a background in finance, experience in M&A, capital raising, startups, and corporate strategy, Beckham has been involved in a wide array of corporate transactions as well as large-scale reorganisational and build-out projects at firms such as Canopius and Amlin.
