Lockton Re hires Aon’s Jeremy England Lee to retro team

Global reinsurance broker Lockton Re, part of the independent Lockton broking group, has announced the hiring of retrocession specialist broker Jeremy England Lee from rival Aon.

It’s the latest senior hire to Lockton Re’s global retrocessional reinsurance and specialty property practice, as the company continues to attract new talent and poach senior brokers from competitors such as Aon.

Recently, Lockton Re confirmed Jonathan (Jonty) Davies as CEO of its newly launched Bermuda office and Bob Bisset as its new Chairman, Global Retrocession & Property Specialty, Bermuda and Market Capital.

Jeremy England Lee has now joined Lockton Re’s Non Marine Retrocession and Property Specialty Division in London.

England Lee has more than four decades of industry experience, with a specialism in retro reinsurance broking developed during his career.

His career began in 1978 at Lloyd’s D.E. Harman Syndicate, before moving to Bowring which later became Carpenter Bowring, holding key positions in Facultative, North American Treaty and Retrocession.

He then joined Benfield in 1996 as a Director for Retrocession and was most recently part of Aon’s Global Re Speciality team as a Managing Director.
