Bermuda-based Arch Capital Group, Ltd. has announced that its international insurance operation has promoted Krista Bonneau to Chief Reinsurance and Exposure Officer, based in London and reporting to Hugh Sturgess.
Effective immediately, Bonneau assumes responsibility for developing and managing Arch Insurance International’s ceded reinsurance and exposure management functions, so will be taking charge of reinsurance buying for Arch’s insurance arm.
She joined the insurance company in 2010 and became an Assistant Vice President within the Ceded Reinsurance team in 2014. Bonneau’s most recent role at the firm was Senior Vice President of Ceded Reinsurance.
Sturgess, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Arch Insurance International, commented: “Our reinsurance procurement strategy has been a fundamental part of our strong growth in recent years. As part of our senior management team Krista has led the development of that strategy. This promotion also recognizes Krista’s contribution to our team and to our future in a dynamic and evolving marketplace.”
Bonneau added: “I am excited to be taking on this combined role, both to develop synergies between reinsurance and exposure management and to support Arch Insurance International’s goals for growth in the London Market and beyond.
“Our aim will be to ensure we maintain a balanced strategy which closely aligns with our overarching business objectives and helps facilitate our continued success.”
