Hudson Structured Capital Management hires Adrian Jones from SCOR

Hudson Structured Capital Management Ltd., the insurance-linked securities (ILS), reinsurance- and transportation- focused investment manager, has announced a key hire as Adrian Jones, formerly of SCOR, joins the firm.

Jones is joining Hudson Structured Capital Management Ltd., which undertakes its re/insurance business as HSCM Bermuda (HSCM), to assist in expanding the firms’ re/insurance and insurtech groups.

Jones joins HSCM as a Managing Director of HSCM and a Partner in HSCM’s InsurTech group.

He joins the company from global reinsurance player SCOR Global P&C, where he was Deputy CEO of its P&C Partners unit and leader of its P&C Ventures unit, playing a key role in its insurtech operation and investment activities.

HSCM’s InsurTech group was established by Vikas Singhal, Partner, and now includes eight professionals alongside new addition Jones.

Jones brings HSCM almost 20 years of experience, having begun his career at Bain & Co. He has also worked at reinsurance firm RenaissanceRe, as its Head of Corporate Strategy.

He joined SCOR in 2016, working in strategy and business development, before helping the reinsurance firm develop its insurtech strategy and playing a key role in its ventures and strategic partnerships business.

Jones has also sat on several boards of directors, including the insurtechs States Title Holding, Inc. and B3i Services AG.

Jones’ experience, across innovation within reinsurance and the use of technology in modernising the re/insurance market chain, will benefit HSCM as it expands on its activities and investments in these areas.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia University. Jones has sat on several boards of directors, including the insurtechs States Title Holding, Inc. and B3i Services AG.
