Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has announced the hiring of former Securis Investment Partners life insurance-linked securities (ILS) specialist Luca Tres to the role of Head of Strategic Risk and Capital Life Solutions, EMEA, effective June 1st.
Tres was most recently a Partner at insurance and reinsurance linked securities specialist manager Securis Investment Partners, where he led life origination and structuring of life ILS opportunities globally.
Before joining Securis, Tres worked as a Vice President, Structured Insurance & Bank Solutions Europe at Deutsche Bank
At Guy Carpenter in his new role, Tres will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of non-traditional life reinsurance solutions to clients throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa and growing that business.
Based in Milan, Tres will report to Massimo Reina, CEO, Europe, Guy Carpenter.
He will work closely with Guy Carpenter’s network of offices across the region, helping clients to evaluate and execute transactions designed to achieve short and long-term capital, risk and financial objectives.
