Fidelis hires Creagh-Coen to lead strategic relationships

Fidelis Insurance, the specialty insurance and reinsurance firm launched by Richard Brindle, has announced the hiring of Jonathan Creagh-Coen as Head of Strategic Relationships.

Creagh-Coen was most recently at Lancashire Holdings where he held the role of Head of Investor Relations and Marketing for 10 years.

That role put him at the confluence of reinsurance and the capital markets, as Creagh-Coen was heavily involved in some of Lancashire’s third-party capital arrangements, such as its Saltire and Accordion sidecars, as well as the still-current Kinesis Capital Management.

With Fidelis having recently launched its first collateralised reinsurance sidecar Socium Re, Creagh-Coen’s experience with investors and capital raising will likely benefit the re/insurer.

Of course Creagh-Coen also worked at Lancashire during Richard Brindle’s tenure as CEO and founder of the company, so familiarity will also have been a driver in his hire.

Fidelis said that Creagh-Coen will be tasked with developing strategic relationships with key stakeholders for the firm, as well as taking charge of Fidelis investor relations.

Creagh-Coen has more than 20 years of experience in reinsurance and capital markets, having been a founding member of Execution Limited prior to his time at Lancashire.
