Denbigh takes up London retro broking role at TigerRisk

Oliver Denbigh, formerly an Aon employee, has now taken up his role at TigerRisk in its London retrocessional reinsurance broking team.

TigerRisk Partners LLC, the global risk, capital and reinsurance brokerage and advisory, announced Oliver Denbigh’s a year ago, but it’s only now the new hire is joining.

Denbigh was the latest to depart rival Aon’s retrocessional reinsurance broking team in London, after a number of senior executives moved on from that unit of the firm.

These departures have been picked up by a range of London reinsurance broking teams, with TigerRisk one of the beneficiaries.

Now part of the TigerRisk retro reinsurance broking team, Denbigh remains based in London and will report to Alex Bridges, Head of Retro.

“Ollie is a fantastic addition to the team,” explained Bridges. “His wealth of experience having worked across the classes during his career representing reinsurers globally gives him an invaluable insight into structuring, pricing and placement strategies that will be extremely beneficial to our clients as they navigate this period in the cycle.”

At Aon, Denbigh was a Senior Broker within its Non-Marine Specialty team, working on Property Retro, Cat and Risk on D&F and major global clients.

Before that, Denbigh was at reinsurance brokerage Willis Re, where he specialised in multi-territory Property Catastrophe business, and also worked on international business across a number of classes.
