Willis Capital Markets & Advisory, the investment banking and insurance-linked securities (ILS) facilitating arm of global insurance and reinsurance broker Willis Group, has hired Brian Shea from SCOR to the role of Head of Europe.
Shea joins WCMA on the 24th August and will be based from the London office. Prior to joining Willis, Shea was with global reinsurance firm SCOR, where he held the role of Chief Corporate Strategy Officer reporting to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer.
At WCMA Shea will report directly to WCMA Co-CEOs, Rafal Walkiewicz and Michael Guo, heading up the units ILS, investment banking, M&A and reinsurance capital markets work in the European region.

Before his time at SCOR, Shea was Managing Director and Head of the European Insurance Equity Research team for Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
