   White Mountains Insurance Group, Ltd. has finally confirmed that it has acquired a minority stake in Elementum Advisors, LLC, an insurance and reinsurance linked asset manager with over $4 billion of assets under management.
2. AXA Climate launches the first-ever parametric hail insurance
   AXA Climate, the parametric specialist risk transfer unit of global insurance and reinsurance company AXA, has launched Hail Protection, which reportedly is the first-ever parametric coverage designed to help businesses recover after hail storms.
3. 2019 hurricane forecast & landfall probabilities raised by Colorado State
   The Colorado State University (CSU) tropical weather forecasting team has increased its prediction for the number of hurricanes that will form during the 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season and also its landfall probabilities, but still cite the significant uncertainty associated with El Nino’s influence this year.

    GrainCorp, the giant Australian agribusiness, has secured a 10-year risk transfer arrangement that will protect it against the impacts of grain production variability, particularly from drought.
