Bermuda based specialist collateralized reinsurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS) investment manager Pillar Capital has announced the hire of Jeffrey T. Daddario as Senior Analyst, joining the firm from his last role with JLT Capital Markets.
Pillar Capital, which had almost $840 million of ILS assets under management as of May 2018, is expanding its analytical, trading and structuring expertise with the hire of Daddario, who has experience operating a cat bond secondary desk, as well as in structuring private ILS arrangements.
At JLT Capital Markets, the investment banking and ILS arm of reinsurance broker JLT Re based in New York, Daddario ran a secondary trading desk, facilitating trades in public and private catastrophe bond notes.
He also assisted with the structuring and origination of private placement catastrophe bonds, including the $180 million Skyline Re 2017-1 and the first weather bond (Market Re 2016-5) to be issued in nearly 20 years.
Daddario has a Bachelor’s of Science from Cornell University.
