    Bermuda headquartered insurance and reinsurance group AXIS Capital Holdings has begun to deploy some of the capital it raised for its third-party reinsurance capital management unit, AXIS Re Ventures, in the last quarter.

    French reinsurance company SCOR continued its selective approach to property catastrophe underwriting during the second-quarter of the year, restructuring or cancelling 15% of the SCOR Global P&C book as it maintained its disciplined approach.

  10. Third-party reinsurance capital a kind of leverage for Everest Re
    Third-party reinsurance capital, insurance-linked securities (ILS) and its collateralized reinsurance sidecar Mt. Logan Re all provide reinsurer Everest Re with an additional source of financial leverage, of sorts, according to CEO Dominic Adesso.
