   The United Nations conference on climate change continues in Warsaw, Poland this week. A key topic of discussion is what to do about the growing loss and damages from climate and natural disasters, particular losses being suffered in the developing world.

   Blue Capital Management, the third-party capital and reinsurance-linked fund management arm of Bermuda based reinsurer Montpelier Re, has announced the successful raising of $23m of new capital from investors through the latest share placement for its listed fund.
9. No impact expected to cat bond fund from midwest tornadoes: Plenum
   Yesterdays outbreak of severe thunderstorms, which triggered large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes across the U.S. midwest, is not expected to impact any of the catastrophe bond positions in Swiss catastrophe bond investment fund manager Plenum Investments portfolio.
10. Double-digit rate declines expected in catastrophe reinsurance renewals
    Catastrophe reinsurance rates are set to see double-digit declines at the January renewals, against a backdrop of benign loss experience, an accumulation of capital amongst traditional reinsurers and continued inflows of third-party or alternative reinsurance capital.
