William (Bill) Keogh, who left his role as President of risk modelling firm EQECAT just last week, has emerged as a new hire at TigerRisk Partners, a reinsurance broking and risk and capital management firm founded by Jim Stanard and Rod Fox. Keogh resigned from EQECAT to pursue a new opportunity within the reinsurance industry and the new role at TigerRisk will see him become a member of the company’s Decision Support Team.

As well as serving as President at EQECAT, Keogh had previously worked for risk modeller RMS as group executive officer as well. He began his insurance industry career as an underwriter at AIG and then moved into increasingly responsible underwriting positions at NAC Reinsurance and Swiss Re, before making the move into risk modelling.

“With his years of experience as a top executive at two of the three leading catastrophe modeling firms, Bill will be an invaluable resource to our clients,” commented Rod Fox, CEO of TigerRisk. “Few people can match Bill’s experience and mastery of state-of-the-art property catastrophe analytics.”

Keogh will report in the new role to Jayant Khadilkar, himself considered a pioneer in the field of catastrophe risk solutions having served as CEO at Weather Predict and spent time at RenRe Investment Managers and also AIR. “Bill brings with him a unique set of talents: leading-edge analytics and technology expertise, years of experience in identifying and mitigating risk, and the ability to communicate with clients on various levels,” said Mr. Khadilkar. “He will make a great contribution to our team.”

EQECAT last week announced the appointment of Paul Little to the role of President of the firm.
