The Credit Suisse Insurance Linked Strategies Ltd. team has hired Paul Hertelendy, previously at French reinsurer SCOR, to the senior roles of Head of Reinsurance Investments and Deputy Head of Insurance Linked Strategies.
In the position, which he took up as of July 1st 2018, Hertelendy will take responsibility for oversight of the Credit Suisse insurance-linked securities (ILS) division Underwriting and Modeling & Analytics teams.
He will report directly to Niklaus Hilti, Head of Credit Suisse Insurance Linked Strategies Ltd.

Paul’s profound experience and past strong leadership achievements are the best prerequisite to further expand our sourcing and underwriting capabilities and fostering the partnership with counterparties to further strengthen our position in the reinsurance market.”
Hertelendy has more than 20 years of reinsurance sector experience, most recently in the role of Chief Underwriting Officer for Specialty Lines at global reinsurer SCOR, where he spent 11 years.
Prior to that, Hertelendy worked at Converium as Senior Vice President & Chief Underwriting Officer North America & Specialty Lines, Zurich Re as Underwriting Manager Property Catastrophe & North America Property and PartnerRe as Property Catastrophe Underwriter and Catastrophe Modeller.
