Securis Investment Partners, London-headquartered but globally active insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance-linked investments manager, has hired Simon Arnott for a Bermuda-based role focused on origination of risk opportunities.

Simon Arnott was most recently working for reinsurance firm Tokio Millennium Re, with his latest role there being Head of Catastrophe Lines.

Arnott joined Tokio Millennium Re in 2001 as a property catastrophe reinsurance treaty underwriter.

He has also held roles at CNA Re as an international property reinsurance treaty underwriter and at GIO Re as an underwriter in a 27 year reinsurance sector career, according to his Linkedin profile.

Securis confirmed that Arnott would be joining the firm’s Securis ILS Management, Bermuda entity in April, based on the island and taking on the role of Head of Origination, U.S. and Bermuda.

Securis recently surpassed the $6 billion mark, in terms of ILS and reinsurance assets under management.
