Hymans Robertson adds another senior Risk Transfer Specialist

Hymans Robertson, a consultancy that facilitates pension risk transfer solutions including longevity swap and reinsurance transactions, has named Michael Abramson as a Partner and Risk Transfer Specialist, joining the company from Prudential.

With the pensions and longevity risk transfer market slated to grow again in 2018, Hymans Robertson has been growing its team with a number of senior hires in recent months.

Abramson, who will be based in London, has around 15 years of experience in consulting and insurance or reinsurance, having worked on some of the largest pension risk transfer deals and also longevity hedging arrangements.

At Prudential, his most recent role, Abramson was Director of Wholesale Transactions responsible for its bulk annuity team and working on over £5 billion of longevity hedging on its annuity back book. Before that, Abramson held a number of senior roles in both Legal & General’s bulk annuity team and at consultant Mercer.
