New speakers for our ILS NYC 2017 conference

Today we’re delighted to announce the addition of a number of new speakers to the roster for our upcoming conference, Artemis ILS NYC 2017, which will be held in the heart of Manhattan, New York on February 3rd 2017.


Artemis ILS NYC 2017 sees us trying to create something a little different for the ILS market, in terms of events, seeking to provide a forward-looking, positive and constructive day of talks and networking, focusing on some of the trend-lines that signal where the future of this market lies.

This carefully curated event is designed to inspire, inform, connect the dots, spark ideas, facilitate networking and offer experienced (or new) executives a chance to reflect on what has gone well and what challenges or opportunities lie ahead in mobilizing the capital markets to invest in insurance or reinsurance risk.

Yes catastrophe bonds will be discussed, yes collateralised reinsurance will as well and undoubtedly there will be some mention of pricing and renewals. However the idea is to identify where this market is heading and the discussion will focus on Future Thinking.

We’re extremely pleased with the quality of speakers agreeing to participate in the event and hope to announce the next wave in the coming week or two and in time we’ll announce which speakers will participate in which sessions.

The conference is structured around four key sessions, with a leader for each and additional speakers invited to join the sessions to provide a platform for open and informed discussion on four areas. We can now reveal who will be leading each session.

• The niches of ILS (niches within a niche) – Led by Michael Millette, Founder & Managing Partner, Hudson Structured Capital Management.

Following the four main sessions, these four leaders will take the stage together for an interactive Q&A panel with audience participation highly encouraged. This is also a chance for the session leaders to ask each other questions and debate issues that have arisen during the day.
