Willis Capital Markets & Advisory adds SVP in Europe

Willis Capital Markets & Advisory (WCMA), the investment banking, capital markets and insurance-linked securities (ILS) focused unit of global advisory, insurance and reinsurance broker Willis Towers Watson, has hired Daniel Ohana as a Senior Vice President in Europe.

WCMA continues to build out its European capabilities in capital markets and investment banking services for insurance and reinsurance firms, with the announcement of a new hire.

Daniel Ohana joins WCMA as a Senior Vice President and will operate from the firms London office, reporting to Brian Shea, Head of WCMA Europe, who had himself joined the group last year.

WCMA provides services ranging from insurance-linked securities (ILS) arrangement, structuring, trading and distribution including catastrophe bonds, to insurance or reinsurance mergers & acquisitions advisory, capital raising and other capital market transactions.

Ohana has worked on multi-billion and mid-market transactions in the financial institutions sector, having previously spent time in the Financial Institutions Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from 2007-2016, most recently as Director. Prior to that Ohana was an analyst at HSBC.
