Leadenhall Capital Partners, specialist London headquartered insurance and reinsurance linked investment management firm, has set up a U.S. operation which will be led by new hire Brian Weatherholtz, an ILS sector veteran.
Weatherholtz takes on the role of Managing Director of the new U.S. operation, reporting to Partner and Head of Business Development Lorenzo Volpi.
Lorenzo Volpi commented; “The North American market is very important for the insurance linked sector, and we are keen to expand our efforts in the area to offer our investors local coverage within their time zone and with highly skilled resources”
The U.S. operation of Leadenhall will be focused on business development and investor relations in North America.

Weatherholtz is a U.S. national and has insurance linked experience going back many years due to his work at GE Capital in the UK and the US. He was also a senior member of Swiss Re’s Insurance Linked Securities and Life Risk Transformation teams and during his career has led a number of insurance linked securities transactions.
