RFIB hires ILS specialist broker Glenn Jackson in the U.S.

RFIB Group Limited, the international and Lloyd’s specialist insurance and reinsurance broker, has made an important hire in the U.S., adding insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance capital markets specialist Glenn Jackson as Managing Director of RFIB Americas.

Glenn Jackson was previously a Senior Vice President with broker Beach Re, formerly known as Axiom Re, where he specialised in advising insurance, reinsurance and capital market participants in the structuring, modelling and execution of alternative reinsurance transactions, ILS and collateralized reinsurance.

Jackson has 11 years of experience in the insurance-linked securities (ILS) space and is a well-known figure in the capital raising, arrangement and structuring business of the reinsurance convergence market in the U.S., also having strong relationships with investors and capital providers.

Jackson will take up the position immediately, reporting to Nick Foden-Pattinson, CEO of RFIB Americas, and will be based in the Tampa, Florida office for the firm.

Jackson started working in reinsurance in 1982 at Intere Intermediaries, before holding a series of reinsurance broking positions, including at Aon Re and Willis Re, with an increasing focus on the insurance-linked securities (ILS) market.

The hire of Jackson will add additional ILS and alternative reinsurance capital expertise to RFIB, with Jackson bringing a wealth of contacts from capital markets investors and banks on Wall Street, to U.S. coastal insurers with a liking for fully collateralised protection.

As RFIB expands and carries on its mission to be an independent, capital agnostic re/insurance brokerage, Jackson’s hire will add greater flexibility and enhanced capability to work with the ILS fund markets.
