Guy Carpenter appoints Stubbings to Bermuda CEO, Keegan to SVP

Global reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has announced that Peter Stubbings has been promoted to lead its Bermuda office retrocession and international treaty reinsurance practice as CEO, and that Richard Keegan has been hired as Senior Vice President.

Stubbings was previously Chairman of Guy Carpenter’s Bermuda operations. As well as being responsible for the retrocession and international reinsurance treaty practices, Stubbings will also oversee new business development and the wholesaling of the brokers U.S. business into the Bermuda reinsurance market.

Stubbings will continue to report to Kevin Fisher, CEO of Global Specialties.

Additionally, Richard Keegan is joining Guy Carpenter from Aon Benfield in Bermuda, where he was a Property Retrocession Broker, and will report directly to Stubbings. Keegan will work closely with the Guy Carpenter Retrocession team as well as supporting the wholesaling of the U.S. brokerage business.
