Industry loss warranty (ILW) focused reinsurance broker Stefano Nicolini has left BMS Group, after almost six years with the firm, and moved to independent reinsurance intermediary Beach & Associates.
Independent reinsurance intermediary Beach & Associates has been expansive in acquiring businesses and hiring expertise in recent years, having played a role in the market as a more boutique broking firm, specialising in reinsurance placements for large and technical books of business.
ILW’s have been part of its product offering for some time, as we now see with the majority of reinsurance brokers that need to provide a full range of options for cedents, but with the hire of Nicolini the firm has secured an experienced and well-known ILW and ILS market figure.
Nicolini joins Beach & Associates as a Vice President and will lead the ILW practice for the firm, we understand based out of both New York and Bermuda. He brings with him strong client and market contacts, both in reinsurance and the ILS or collateralised space, as well as recognition within the industry loss warranty (ILW) space, having created BMS’ ILW practice from scratch.
Prior to his time at BMS, Nicolini spent a year with Guy Carpenter before which he built the ILW practice at broker Collins. He has been working with a focus on ILW contract structuring and placements for more than ten years.
