Butch Agnew named VP, ILS Portfolio Management at Tokio Solution

Tokio Solution Management Ltd., the collateralized reinsurance, insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance convergence facilitating arm of Tokio Millennium Re, has announced the appointment of Butch Agnew as Vice President, ILS Portfolio Management today.

Susan Lane, co-CEO of Tokio Solution, commented on the announcement; “We are delighted to welcome Butch to Tokio Solution in this new role responsible for developing client relationships and managing business strategies. His appointment underscores our commitment to continuously expand on the service offering to Tokio Solution’s third party capital partners.”

Agnew has more than 15 years of experience in capital markets, captive management, insurance and reinsurance broking, business development and finance.

Tokio Solution provides a range of services to the reinsurance convergence and ILS sectors, ranging from private cat bond facilitation, acting as a distribution hub and access point to the capital markets and using its Shima Re Class 3 segregated accounts reinsurer to facilitate and transform reinsurance business to capital market investors

Before joining Tokio Solution, Agnew was Vice President, Business Development and Client Services with Dyna Management Services Ltd. He also worked as Financial Controller of AQR Re Management Ltd. and with Aon Insurance Managers Ltd., where he held positions as Global Director ILS, and Vice President, Captives.
