Nick Duffin, a reinsurance broker with 14 years of experience across lines including retrocession, industry loss warranties (ILW’s) and property treaty, is transferring from London to Bermuda for JLT Re.
Duffin has been with JLT Re since 2012 and this latest move sees him become Partner at the firms Bermuda arm, JLT Bermuda Ltd.
Charles Withers-Clarke, Partner at JLT Bermuda Ltd, commented on the announcement; “Nick will continue to work with existing clients, as well as providing further strength in expanding the JLT Re role in the Bermuda market from both an inward and outward production standpoint.
“He will work on all aspects of Reinsurance in Bermuda and his addition will support the expansion of the capabilities of the current JLT Re team of myself, Guy Hengesbaugh, Gary Reynolds and Tom Doyle.”
With Bermuda a key market for property catastrophe reinsurance and retrocession, as well as a hub for ILS funds and collateralised reinsurance markets, Duffin’s experience in those areas and instruments such as the industry-loss warrant (ILW) will prove invaluable.
Duffin is also experienced in D&F business, as well as the reinsurance Specialty Lines of Terrorism and Contingency.
