Christophe Fritsch, who has been with AXA Investment Managers since 2000 and established the asset managers insurance-linked securities unit in 2008, will assume the role of Head of Structuring to add to his other responsibilities at the firm.
Fritsch takes on the Head of Structuring alongside his existing responsibilities as Co-Head of Securitisation & Structured Assets and Business Development as well as leading the insurance-linked securities (ILS) team. He will lead the structuring team in supporting the Loans and Private Debt and Securitised & Structured Assets investment streams at the manager.
Deborah Shire, Head of Structured Finance at AXA IM commented; “AXA IM has been a pioneer in structured finance for over 13 years. Christophe’s fundamental credit skill and experience across several job roles within structured finance, make him a perfect fit to help strengthen AXA IM’s Structured Finance team. His additional responsibilities, combined with the team’s disciplined style means we are now well placed to meet client needs.”
AXA IM have recently reorganised the Fixed Income and Structured Finance teams by creating one Fixed Income offering covering the entire credit continuum. As part of this Structured Finance has been organised around two platforms: Loans and Private Debt and Securitised & Structured Assets, with Christophe Fritsch co-heading the latter with Alexandre Martin-Min.
The AXA IM Insurance Linked Securities team that Fritsch founded in 2008 and remains ultimately responsible for, now represents more than $500 million in ILS assets under management.
