William (Butch) Agnew has joined Bermuda-based independent insurance management service provider Dyna Management as a Vice President responsible for Business Development and Client Services, according to the Royal Gazette.
Agnew left AQR Re Management Ltd., the third-party capital and ILS focused reinsurance and fund manager where he was financial controller recently. Prior to that he held a variety of roles at Aon Insurance Managers, including as director of ILS.
At Dyna, Agnew will assure delivery of management and consulting services to reinsurance clients and captives, as well as assist with growing Dyna Management and developing its offering.
Terence Power, president of Dyna, commented; “With more than 15 years of experience in various roles within the insurance and reinsurance market, Butch brings a wealth and variety of knowledge and understanding of the industry that will be of benefit, not only to all our team members, but also to our clients.”
With Agnew’s background in ILS and management of third-party capital it will be interesting to see whether Dyna Management looks to target the convergence sector under his guidance.
