AlphaCat Managers promotes Stanton to Chief Financial Officer

AlphaCat Managers Ltd., the third-party reinsurance capital management and insurance-linked securities (ILS) unit of Bermuda insurance, reinsurance and alternative capital group Validus Holdings, has appointed a new CFO.

Jo Anne Stanton, an AlphaCat employee since 2009, has been promoted to the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AlphaCat.

Lixin Zeng, Chief Executive Officer at AlphaCat commented on the appointment; “Jo has been an asset to AlphaCat since its inception and has been instrumental in the business’s growth and success. I am pleased that she has accepted this leadership position and I am confident that we will continue to benefit from her expertise as she oversees the financial reporting and operations of AlphaCat.”

Stanton joined AlphaCat in 2009 and most recently served as Vice President and Controller of the unit. Before AlphaCat, Stanton was an Interim Professional with contracts in senior accounting and financial controller positions at companies including major reinsurers and fund administrators. Before that, she was a manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Stanton is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.
