Elementum Advisors builds in-house market research abilities with new hire

Elementum Advisors, an independent insurance-linked securities (ILS) investment manager focusing on instruments such as catastrophe bonds, collateralized reinsurance, industry loss warranties and catastrophe derivatives, is strengthening its in-house market research abilities with a new hire.

Elementum Advisors announced the addition of Jennifer D. Norris to its team. Norris joined the ILS investment manager in September and takes on a newly created role of Director of Research.

Prior to joining Elementum Advisors, Norris was at law firm Sidley Austin LLP where she practiced as an Associate focused on the representation of insurance companies and financial institutions in a variety of corporate, securities, and regulatory matters.

The role at Elementum Advisors will see Norris tasked with supporting the ILS investment manager’s efforts in areas such as (re)insurance company due diligence, research of industry specific issues and opportunities, as well as new product development initiatives.
