Inter-dealer brokerage Tullet Prebon has hired a weather derivatives broker to its wholly owned subsidiary Tullett Prebon Energy. Peter Rosen joins the firm from his last role as a weather broker at ICAP and will report to Christopher Grosso, Director of Energy Products. He will be based in the firm’s Jersey City office.
Rosen brings to Tullett Prebon Energy more than 15 years of experience as a broker, largely focused on trading and execution of weather derivatives contracts. Rosen has been instrumental in the innovation of weather trading and broking, including recently being responsible for executing the first rainfall amount option cleared through the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).
In his most recent role, Rosen was a weather broker at brokerage ICAP. Prior to that, he started his brokerage career at United Energy. He is a graduate of Penn State University.
