Horseshoe Group to use Eurobase synergy2 underwriting platform

Bermuda based Horseshoe Group, an independent insurance manager and advisor to insurers, reinsurers, sidecars, transformers and catastrophe bonds, has signed up with Eurobase Insurance Solutions to use its synergy2 software underwriting platform. The synergy2 platform will allow Horseshoe Group to manage both its service company business and its reinsurance type business within a single application.

The platform will be deployed in both Horseshoe Group’s Bermuda and Cayman Island operations and the firm will use synergy2 within its underwriting, claims, reinsurance, accounting and reporting functions. The reinsurance functionality of the platform is said to be especially important to Horseshoe Group as it will help the firm manage the administration of the link between the reinsurance market and third-party investors.
