Kane announces senior appointments including new U.S. managing director

More people movements in the market as Kane, the largest global independent insurance manager in the world and one of the leading providers of insurance-linked securities (ILS) and life, pensions and investment (LPI) administration services, announced today two senior appointments one of which is a new managing director for their U.S. division.

Kane have been looking to fill the U.S. MD role for a number of months since their Head of ILS and MD U.S. Liz Frederick left the firm.

The replacement, an experienced executive named Carlos Oliveras, has been appointed as Managing Director of Kane (USA), Inc. Carlos will be based in Connecticut and report directly to Kane Chief Executive Simon Hinshelwood. Most recently Carlos was MD of Trinity Holding Group LLC, an insurance consultancy. Prior to that he held senior roles at a number of major insurance and reinsurance firms, including: Managing Director of Aon’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group; Chief Sales & Marketing Officer for Alea Group Holdings; and SVP and general manager of two business units at American Re-Insurance Company (now Munich Re) where he worked for 14 years.

The other new hire is Stephen White who has been appointed as Business Development Director for the US and Canada. Stephen will report to Carlos and will work alongside fellow Director of Business Development in the U.S. Harry Rodgers, tasked with building new business opportunities for Kane’s North American, Bermudian and Caribbean operations. Stephen held roles such as Head of Captive Solutions at Marsh Canada and Vice President at AON Risk Solutions where he provided captive development services in the past.
