RMS Provides Miu Platform for Falcon Private Bank Ltd. to Manage Insurance-Linked Securities
Calif – December 15, 2009 – Risk Management Solutions (RMS) today announced that Falcon Private Bank is the latest investor in insurance-linked securities to license its Miu portfolio management platform. With approximately $150 million of ILS assets under management, Falcon Private Bank will use Miu to access RMS’ view of key risk metrics for each security and its portfolio as a whole, including expected loss and attachment and exhaustion probabilities. Miu will also enable them to analyze the impact of various catastrophic scenarios on their portfolio.
In the past, portfolio managers needed to master the complexities of a catastrophe model to understand the risk added by ILS. Now, Miu users get ‘one click’ access to risk analyses for every live catastrophe bond in the market.
